On March 24th and 25th we had 28 kids head to Sun Peaks to participate in the 5th Annual Alcan Nancy Greene Festival. It was a great weekend for all families with over 330 kids from across the province participating. All E1 and E2 kids split the weekend with an E1 & E2 dual race and the Husky Snow Stars skills event consisting of a speed event, distance jump, moguls and a kombi obstacle course. The dual race event had E1s in a team format and E2s racing individually or as an optional team entry. Nancy Greene Raine was present the entire weekend meeting families, helping kids at the start gate, taking photos and presenting medals. Thanks to our coaches Tracy Marino, Ben Johnson, Gareth Brunt and Warren Everton (Mt. Baldy), as well as the Sun Peaks Alpine Club for hosting this great family event.
