U10 Acceleration Team – Saturdays, December 8 to mid-March.
U10 Accel is the new name for our successful E1 Accel Team of recent years. This program is designed for the more advanced 8 or 9 year old. More time on snow allows for more learning and time to practice new skills. This exciting program includes all the fun events of the Half and Full Day programs and skiing runs Saturdays from early December to mid March plus a few extra days over the holidays. Approximately 18 days on-snow.
Program Fee $895 (No HST)
Ages 8 & 9 (YOB 2004-2003)

U12 Acceleration Team – Saturdays and Sundays, beginning of December to end of March.
U12 Accel is the first stage of development where actual slalom, giant slalom, and speed techniques and racing tactics are introduced. This is made possible in large part due to the increase of training volume compared to the regular NGSL programs. U12 kids ski both Saturdays and Sundays every weekend from the beginning of December through to early April. Several extra days over the Christmas and Spring Break holidays are also included. U12 Accel is an excellent bridge between regular NGSL and the higher training volume of U14. The program is designed to develop a stable and reliable skill base that will enable a 10 or 11 year old athlete to acquire the more advanced skiing skills in the following years to come. On-snow time is split between technical free skiing, gate skill and drill courses, ski cross training, and of course all mountain skiing. Full details of equipment requirements for U12 will be listed in the U12 Racer Book. The essential items are: 'blue team jacket', speed suit, slalom skis, shin guards, helmet, mouth guard.

The U12s have an opportunity to race against children their own age in regular style ski races - the beginning of their journey as a competitive skier. U12 Accel is the primary (youngest) category within the club where a dryland training component is offered as well as the on-snow program. U12 kids begin to adapt to a more competitive atmosphere where each individual is encouraged to begin pushing themselves through fun competition and quality skiing environments to continue their skill development as skiers and racers of the future. The primary focus of U12 Accel is learning how to train as a ski racer – and of course… to have fun! U12 Accel follows a fun race schedule of specific U12 level events throughout the Okanagan zone. Approximately 36 days on-snow.
Program Fee $1150 (No HST) Dryland fee: $95 prior to participation
Ages 10 & 11. (YOB 2002-2001)

Alpine Programs

U14 Alpine ages 12-13 years (YOB 2000/1999)

At this age kids are offered an additional training day over and above the weekend training sessions. Kids in U14 continue on their path of learning to train, but gradually mature into talented young ski racers acquiring all the basic skills. U14s begin to focus a little more on racing, while maintaining their development of the basic all-mountain skiing skills. The racing element is not much more than U12, but a higher number of on snow days allow skills to grow, suiting the physical and psychological progression for kids of this age. A higher level of competition is introduced with Provincial and Western Canadian Championship events. Camaraderie, personal achievement and all-out fun on the slopes describe what U14 is all about.

second season of U14 (formerly K1). U16 invitees are actually 1999 born U14 Alpine racers. Right from the start of the season
these kids will join the U16 Team for all dryland, training camps, and regular on-snow training. When the U16 Team travels to a
U16 specific event, the invitees will join the U14 Team. U16 invitees will also rejoin the U14 group for specific U14 events such as

U16 Alpine ages 14-15 years (YOB 1998/1997)
The U16 category is very exciting. Massive growth rates, huge strength gains, and a more mature understanding of the skills required make this a fun time to be a ski racer. More training volume is offered again by adding a fourth day per week as on- snow training opportunities. Only athletes who are deemed ready technically, physically, and mentally are offered the fourth day of training per week. Race opportunities are offered at the Provincial and Western Canada/USA level.
$1,800.00

U18 Invitees 15 years (YOB 1997 only)
The invitee program for U18 is for 1997 born skiers. Like the U16 invitee program, second year U16s are invited to train with the U18s on a full time basis. When the U18 Team goes away to a FIS race, the invitees will rejoin the U16 Team. U18 invitees will also rejoin the U16 team for Provincials and Can-Am Championships. + $175.00 to the regular U16 registration fees =
$1,975.00

U18 (FIS) Alpine ages 16-18 years (YOB 1996, 1995, 1994)
U18 Alpine is the new name for the FIS Program. Skiers in this category must be 16, 17, or 18. Our U18 FIS Team participates at a higher level of competition by applying for a FIS (International Ski Federation) competitor card. A FIS card allows racers to accrue FIS points after each FIS race finish. The FIS racing circuit allows our athletes to compete with athletes from around the province as well as from other provinces at each event. Making the decision to join the BWR U18 team involves a commitment to additional off-season dryland and on-snow training and the opportunity to train more days on-snow than in the past. Racing on our U18 Team is an awesome experience of athletic excellence that can lead to university scholarships and the Canadian Alpine Ski Team. $2,150.00

Masters Alpine ages 19+ years (YOB 1993 and older)
Our Masters racing program is the perfect outlet for the vintage weekend warrior who loves skiing gates! Our Masters racers train with the U14 & 16 racers and have the opportunity to race in the Okanagan zone race series. Masters must be at least 19 years of age.
