U18 (FIS) Alpine ages 16-18 years (YOB 1996, 1995, 1994)
U18 Alpine is the new name for the FIS Program. Skiers in this category must be 16, 17, or 18. Our U18 FIS Team participates at a higher level of competition by applying for a FIS (International Ski Federation) competitor card. A FIS card allows racers to accrue FIS points after each FIS race finish. The FIS racing circuit allows our athletes to compete with athletes from around the province as well as from other provinces at each event. Making the decision to join the BWR U18 team involves a commitment to additional off-season dryland and on-snow training and the opportunity to train more days on-snow than in the past. Racing on our U18 Team is an awesome experience of athletic excellence that can lead to university scholarships and the Canadian Alpine Ski Team.
